Daily coffee drinker with yellow teeth.. Ideas?!

Question: I want to start using crest white strips but I know they won't do anything if I'm still drinking coffee. My alternative to coffee is tea. I don't drink juice or soda bc of the high sugar levels. I drink lots of water. I don't want to give up coffee and tea but do I need to to get rid of my yellowish teeth?

Brush with hydrogen peroxide at night. It tastes nasty and you cannot swallow it, but it whitens teeth. It is in whitening toothpaste, just not in such a concentrated level. I drink coffee every day and I use peroxide because whitening toothpaste makes my gums bleed (my dentist told me to stop using whitening toothpaste). I have use white strips, but if you are going to continue to drink coffee, it is a waste of money. Hydrogen peroxide is cheap ($1 or less per bottle) and it is very effective. I hope I helped!

Don't drink coffee as often as you do or if you want to continue enjoying it, drink it with a stirrer so the liquid doesn't hit your teeth.

Use whitening toothpaste or whitening strips.

i use whitening strips by kroger because theyre the cheapest but they work really well and im also a coffee drinker, so try them!

you could just go to the dentist...they can get that yellow stain off of your teeth with just a check up

For me it was cola and cigarettes. I quit smoking. That was a big help. And I have cut way back on drinking cola's. Before I drank cola's all day long and seldom drank water. Now I drink a cola in the morning and maybe one later in the day. But I drink a lot of water instead of cola.

I've used whitening toothpaste for years. I had tried the Crest strips when they first came out but because I was still smoking and drinking lots of cola there was no change for me. Now I have finally been able to whiten my teeth.

I saw someone else mention going to the dentist. I've never not gone to the dentist. Just a regular visit they'll clean teeth but not whiten them. The dentist does have whitening procedures but they're really costly.

I don't know how much coffee and tea you drink but if you really want to whiten your teeth you'll need to cut back or stop drinking them regularly. I'm still trying to get to the point where I can eliminate cola from my daily intake. But at least I've made some progress and can see a difference in my teeth.

Keep in mind that using the strips will more than likely cause your teeth to be more sensitive. Might want to get some toothpaste for sensitive teeth for while whitening.

IF you really want to know how much of a difference the strips are making? What I did was just use the top strips at first. The first time around when it made no difference I returned the box with the 1/2 the strips {all the bottoms} and got a refund. I did just the top teeth again the 2nd time. This time I could tell a difference so I used the bottom half strips.
