Ahhh, try again. Spilling a bit of Novocaine on top of the tongue wouldn't cause a reaction like you describe, in fact I doubt there would be a reaction at all..What your feeling is more than likely just the residual affect from the injection itself. Sometimes a DDS will place the injection in a manner that creates trauma to the site and that trauma takes a couple of days' to go away...Use some cold packs and take a couple of Tylenol..you should be just fine. Good luck and I wish you well.

I would at least call them and let them know. Then they can tell you if its anything serious

i think maybe you should go back to the dentist and he/she will tell you if you need to go to the doctors or weather it is something he/she can do.

Ring your dentist and tell him what has happened. He may be able to tell you how to deal with it and you wont have to pay for a doctors visit. Otherwise go see the doctor.

NO, I would call ur dentist first!

I got a root canal 2weeks ago and had to get a steriod shot because he hit a nerve, my tounge is still numb and sore! it can take up to a year ware off! IM just learning all this!

Call the dentist without delay, the interior motor mouth bi-facing of your palipa may be disintegrating, in most cases emergency surgery my be required!!

well go back to the dentist. Did he spill it or give you novacaine? like spilled the medicine? email me and ill explain more
