because once you become addicted they know you will pay any amount to fill that addiction. Just like how illegal drugs are expensive except cigarettes are legal. idk why though. They kill more people then coke.


So if you debating it the simple answer is because they can. Its your choice to start in the first place

1.) Federal Tax
2.) Cigarette companies jack up the price to make up for loss suits and lost customers.
