Well now, I suppose you could say that editable food and garbage are the same thing...Huh? You would be right of course..the difference of course is after the food sits and goes through a bacterial change it officially becomes "Garbage"...So...we can say that in reality the "fuzzy" stuff on your tongue is the same as Plaque, the difference being the "fuzzy" stuff didn't or hasn't gone through the change...and were not talking (menopause) here....sorry just a little humor you know...Anyway, the fuzzy stuff happens to everyone at one time or another. The surface of your tongue is like a table top covered with tiny beads and food residue can lodge between the beards to the point it actually builds up as a solid layer. You can purchase a tongue cleaner, looks like a plastic miniature scraper with which to scrape your tongue clean and you can use a medium soft bristle brush for the same purpose...You will usually find that the appearance of the fuzzy stuff on your tongue will coincide with an illness, medication and of course just plain poor oral hygiene..anyone or all of them apply.
