hey
it seems as though the nerve in your tooth has died, and therefor has abcessed.
the cheapest ad quickest option is to get the tooth removed or you can have a root canal, but thats pretty pricey. with root canal its done over three visits and so you pay as you go.
its best to go to the doctors or dentist today to pick up a script for antibiotics so settle the infection.
hope that helped!

I've had the same problem. Doctors refused to give me antibiotics, saying I needed to see a dentist.

I wound up getting penicillin from friends who hadn't finished their course to treat the infection, and got the tooth pulled as soon as I could afford it. It was a wisdom tooth, so pulling wasn't too big of a deal.

Go see a dentist.
The pain stopped, because the infection is leaking into your mouth so the pressure that caused the pain is gone- for now.
As for taking someone elses presription- thats dumb.
You may not realize that you are allergic to something that can kill you or more likely you wont take enough to kill all the bugs and only the strongest will continue to live- then you'll have a real bad infection to deal with.

Clove oil is the best home remedy for toothaches. Even dentists use it. I found the information at http://aches.in/toothacheremedies.html useful
