Gum abscess - antibiotic vs homeopathic remedy?!

Question:

Gum abscess - antibiotic vs homeopathic remedy?

Hi there. I developed an abscess in my gum on wednesday but I won't be able to get to a dentist until tuesday (8th May) and in the meantime , I have been using Hepar Sulph , homeopathic pills which claim to expel pus and clear infection. I am worried sick about blood poisoning though and wonder if it will be okay until I see a dentist in four days time , which will be six days from the start of the abscess. The swelling has gone down quite a bit , so is the pus draining ? How reliable is the Hepar sulph and am I at risk by not getting to the dentist sooner or will the Hepar Sulph do the job until I get there ? I am also rinsing with warm salt water too. Please help x

Answers:

Abscesses anywhere in the head are not a good thing. They call the eye tooth the eye tooth because the root is soooo long that it goes almost up into the sinus cavity. If you get an abscess there , it can go into the sinus, and into the brain. Hon, you need to be seen by a dentist --- any dentist--- today. People with artificial joints don't even have their teeth cleaned without taking 4, 500mg Amoxicillin ... People with any heart defects don't either. See a dentist today, hon. today.
