Is crushed walnut shells the best bedding for my savannah moniter.?
when i went to check on stevie yesterday i noticed something stuck to her mouth. the closer i looked it was stuck in her mouth. when i picked her up she had a piece of walnut, it looked like it was between her teeth, stuck right in the gum line. i didnt really know what to do. so i got a tooth pick and tried to move it. well it moved but when it came off it popped off like it was plastic made to her. and now her lip has a funny convex curve to it in that spot. it didnt hurt her when it came off but it just makes me nervous because i have always wanted a savannah moniter and now i have one, i dont want anything to happen to her. i love my baby stevie. i just want whats best for her. thank you.

They like lots of water to swim in as well as warm dry conditions.. if you can, try put some beach sand in the tank, its closer to their natural habitat.
