What toothpaste do you recommend for teeth whitening?!

Question: My teeth aren't yellow, but they aren't pure white either. What toothpaste would you recommend to whiten my teeth and make they stay white for, well, life? Lol

I never really believed that toothpaste helped to whiten teeth, but then I found Aquafresh Extreme Whitening toothpaste and I LOVE IT! My mom kept telling me something was different when I came to visit and she finally said it was my teeth!

I'm a smoker, so to have someone tell me that my teeth look pretty felt pretty good!

Crest or Colgate

I use Arm and Hammer Whitening with peroxide and baking soda. My teeth use to be highlighter yellow but now they are lemon yellow

I don't Know what actual toothpaste to use but brushing with baking soda gives you nice pearly whites, and it ain't as disgusting as a lot of people think. It also works better than any toothpaste I have ever used before!

LoL I know exactly what you mean. Colgate works REALLYY good! They came out with a new type of toothpaste for Colgate and I believe its called tropical blast and they have different flavors, and its really good, (not that I have eaten it) The whitening one (I think it's blue and sooo minty) is the best. You see a difference in like 2 days

Whitening toothpaste is tricky, because it can work for one person and not all for another. So don't be surprised if you find something that doesn't work for you. Just be careful, sometimes they can have harsh abrasives in them which can hurt the enamel.

Toothpaste are not really that effective for teeth whitening.
One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.
