Why can you use straws with stitches in your mouth?!
Question:
Why can you use straws with stitches in your mouth?
My orthodontist said i wasnt supposed to use straws, but i was in so much a hurry to get my pain reliever prescription to ask him why. So why cant i use straws?
Answers:
Because of the suction involved in the use of a straw.
It could pull on the stitches/loosen blood clots/cause 'dry socket'.....not a good thing.
