I often recommend sensodyne or crest sensitivty paste.

It helps for certain types of sensitivity.

If the sensitivity comes from right around your gumline, the paste has the best chance of helping you.

If the sensitivity is actually due to cavities, it won't help at all.

If in doubt, or if you don't have any relief after 2 weeks of using the paste 3 times daily, go have it checked out.

Good Luck,

Mark

i have sensitive teeth too but i cant be botherd to use the tooth paste and i dont believe that it works any way

I can't stand the taste of Sensodyne - it's disgusting, but I use Colgate for Sensitive teeth which tastes like normal toothpaste and I think it does work - I used it regularly then went back to normal toothpaste and within a few days my teeth were sensitive again, so I've gone back to the Sensitive stuff now and it really does help after about a week or so.

Your gums are sensitive, not teeth. Do you want to be cured for ever without these medicated pastes? If yes, take 10 drops of mustard oil, add a pinch of table salt, mix them and massage your gums thrice a week. Do it for atleast a month and your problem vanishes.

I also have sensitve teeth and using sensodyne or pronamel has helped tremendously. When it gets real bad I rub the paste directly on my teeth at night before going to bed and by the next morning it's much better. If you have real sensitve teeth then I recommend getting a mouth guard, you can buy it at any departmertment or drug store, and after fitting it, fill it with the paste and sleep with it like that. It works!!! Warning, it's gonna make the teeth hurt for a few minutes because it's cold but it will go away. Good Luck
