Bracket or something for braces fell off? HELP PLEASE!?!
Question: so i was eating a cheeseburger when the buccal tube of my bracess fell off [thats the silver thing that keeps the wire in place and held] and i have NO IDEA HOW. im going to make an appointment to get it fixed.. but im worried that my orthodontist will be really mad.. and is it bad for it to fall off? since it is the thing that keeps my braces together.. ah im scared, haha.

I havnt had the buccal tube fall off, but i think im up to 6 brackets that ive broken off, i didnt realise that something was part of my braces and i tried to floss it off (lol) and ive had the little bandie things that hold the wire to the bracket fall off sooo.......... You cant get much worse than what ive done :) And my orthordontist had got a little annoyed, but never extreamly mad. My friend as broke both her buccal tubes and her orthordontist didnt get mad.
So i wouldnt worry about it :)

Nothing to be afraid bout this happens with people that has braces and its not bad for it to fall off and your dentist wont be mad it happens
I believe you mean that your arch wire came out of the buccal tube, correct? It's not a problem and happens often when eating, usually when there is an open space of a missing a tooth from the bi's to the molars.
A big bite of a hamburger may have pushed the arch wire out or the arch wire may have slipped around too far on the other side. You can feel the other side with your finger and may find the wire is sticking out too far over there, it's easily fixed.
Your orthodontist won't be mad, this just happens sometimes and it's not a big deal. I've seen much much worse than what you've described! So relax and go in to see your ortho and let them repair your braces.
If the actual tube came off the band, then that is a product flaw, not yours. Those aren't meant to come loose or off ever.
