sounds like an infection that could lead to an abcess really soon if its not already one.
call your dentist and get some x-rays.
the sooner the better.

Are you sure its your gums and not an abscess? If you have an abscess your gum can be sensitive because of the pressure of the infection. If it gives you an earache also more than likely its a toothache.
