I have three teeth with holes in them, what kind of procedure do I need and what!

Question:

I have three teeth with holes in them, what kind of procedure do I need and what cost?

I wasn't responsible and neglected my teeth when I was younger then my parents couldn't afford dentist visits around the age of 13. They're still there, but yellowish and I have three holes, two at the top of my front teeth. Now, I'm more responsible and my teeth are unacceptable. What kind of procedure do I need and how much would it cost to fix them? Also, is there anything I can do to help myself more now. White strips work? Thanks.

Answers:

First of all don't use the white strips until you have had these teeth looked at or restored. You are setting yourself up for some major sensitivity and pain. As for the procedures it will depend on how bad these teeth are. It may be as simple as several fillings, or as complicated as root canals and crowns or veneers. If the teeth are decayed badly then you may have to have root canals and crowns to save them. There are several things that you may need to have done, so go see a dentist, get a complete diagnosis of your needs and go from there. In the mean time your best chance to prevent further trouble is to learn to take care of your teeth properly now. Brushing with a soft toothbrush, flossing everyday, and being seen by a dentist for a cleaning, x-rays, and exam every six months is a good start. It may be expensive to restore your teeth and gums to a state of health, however it will be worth it in the long run. Best of luck.
