Not sure if it's my wisdom tooth?
Went to the dentist Monday to have a cleaning done. I now have swelling (Thursday, same week) in the back of my mouth behind my last tooth (the patch of gum behind the last tooth). It's painful right now -- and there is swelling on the right side (same side) of my throat -- a little knob on my throat that is painful when I put pressure on it.
I'm worried that it may be my wisdom tooth; but if it was a wisdom tooth, wouldn't the dentist have said something earlier this week?
What else could it be?
I'm going to try and get an appointment tomorrow.

Could be your wisdom tooth trying to move upward, or you might have gotten something lodged in the gum line back there, popcorn hulls are bad about that, and thus it makes it very irritated.
