Any adults who have had braces?!

Question: I actually have fairly nice teeth, but have always wanted perfectly straight, beautiful teeth. I'm fairly attractive, 38 year old professional woman. I'm concerned how I will look and feel having braces on. Whenever you had braces, did you feel terrible about your appearance or was it not so bad? Are clear ones better?

i am 40 and have braces . if feels a bit embarrassing at first but its worth it . i have had them for 6 months now that my teeth are straighter i like to show them off even with the braces still on them i would get metal ones they are faster and easier to take care of clear ones you cant eat or drink certain things because they discolor easy ,good luck

do it, go for the clear ones

if you are that worried about how you will look, i would suggest invisiline

I'm sixteen, i have them and i hate them. They are a pain in the neck.

if your so worried why dont you try luminiers
but if you do not like that try the clear ones

im 14 and i have braces, if your teeth aren't that bad i'd leave it, it's really painful, and usually takes two years! and you constantly get food stuck in it which is so annoying! but if you feel you can live with them go for it, be prepared to put up with it tho! :)

I have top and bottom metal retainers and I'm 27 the top one I feel a little uncomfortable wearing in front of people but I do and the bottom one I wear all the time I just want perfectaly straight teeth don't care what crocket teeth people think LOL. go for it my uncle had metal braces at age 50 and when I go to my orthadontist I see older women in there with braces nothing wrong with being able to fix something you don't like

it only feels bad the first time. if you take care of them well, later won't be too hard. try the clear porcelain ones. besides, if you have good teeth now, you won't have to wear it for a long time. all of it is worth right after. great teeth are always appealing. ;)
