How do you know if you have tooth decay?!

Question:

How do you know if you have tooth decay?

What are the signs?

Answers:

The answer is you might know and you might not know. Let me explain... You can have decay (cavities) with no pain or sensitivity, which tend to be the most common signs. You might also see the tooth, or in between the teeth looking gray. You might suspect you have decay if you have these signs. All of these signs can be related to something else though. The best way to minimize the likelihood of having an undiscovered problem is to see your dentist or hygienist on a regular basis and have cavity checking xrays every 12 - 18 months.
