Tooth extraction tommorrow?!
Question: Hi i'm going for my lower molar extraction tommorrow and im getttng gassed and the needle .. will it hurt ? and will they have to stich it ... like how painful will it probably be and how long does it take to heal

Just had mine done on thursday bottom molar left side infected tooth..they didnt gas me just shot me up with movocaine..honestly it didnt hurt at all not even the after math..dr didnt give me any pain meds which i was a little sad ( lol ) but if i was in pain that would be a diff story..make sure u dont gargle with anything or use a straw only eat soft food mashed potatoes etc. dont spit NO SMOKING i havent smoked in 4 days im goina lil loca the swelling is almost gone and i basicaly eat nething now just chew on the otherside

Wow you describe it as if you're going to be tortured. No, it will not hurt when they gas you up.
it doesnt hurt at all, just dont eat anything afterwards or it will hurt
Hi there i had a lower molar extracted and i only had injections don't worry the most you will feel is some pressure that is all just try and think of positive things when it is being pulled out it isn't the worst thing in the world !!! you might feel a little nervous before but just let it be done good luck ! if u r being gassed u will be asleep so u wont feel a thing! i have had 6 teeth extracted and i havnt bin put to sleep for any of them and they didnt really hurt, the injection is the only thing i didnt like but even that wasnt painful it was just uncomfortable. it is hard 2 eat for a couple of day after as it is a bit sore but in less than a week it should feel normal again.

Relax and please don't get tense..That could worsen things..However, you can stop worrying..The modern elements used today are extremely helpful as to not feeling any pain.
Before the shot, the doctor will apply a bit of cream or whatever that will cause your gum not to feel the shot..And the medicine contained in the shot will put to sleep the rest of your mouth.
You are not going to feel anything...don't worry, but if you do, make a signal to the doctor...he'll know what to do..don't worry..!!
Even if they have to put stitches -- it is not the common thing- you won't feel it..

You will be FINE...NO, it w/not hurt...I just had the same thing done, I had two done. Mine did not require stitches. If yours does, that won't hurt either. Just be careful of it the first day, as you don't want to do anything to remove the clot that forms on it the first day. The second day, rinse it w/warm salt water a few times a day. This w/make it heal all the quicker. My dentist said warm salt water heals quicker than anything else, as I was using peroxide. It really doesn't take that long to heal & you honestly won't hurt. IF you do have any mild pain, take two Aleve gel caps & that w/do the trick. Good luck, you'll be fine...(^_^)
