I have had an abscess in the tooth next to my upper molar left hand side.....an!

Question:

I have had an abscess in the tooth next to my upper molar left hand side.....and three lots of antibiotics...

And my dentist , wants to wait ,to see a Doctors report , before he pulls it out !

I keep getting "green pimples" on my upper gum......around that abscessed tooth.....and recently I collapsed , into the passenger seat of my car , as I was driving (slowly) to work....and I struggled to get control of the car , without crashing !

I was taken into hospital....where it was found , that I had a low "pulse rate"....they are focusing on this as being the problem.....

I believe that it is the abscess in my tooth...which has caused me pain , in my cheekbones....my forehead ......my nose and my lower jaw.....Who is right ? What should I do ?

Answers:

sorry to hear that this has happened to you.
it must have been a frightening situation.
i hope you are feeling a bit better.
have you seen a cardiologist for your heart?
you had 3 doses of antibiotics?...is that correct?
had you taken these antibiotics before?
( was your slow heart rate( bradycardia)
( a reaction to the meds?..
or had you ever had slow heart beat before?)
what caused the slow heart rate?did you feel dizzy or lightheaded..or suddenly faint.?
if you felt faint ( that is from low blood pressure.)
your drop in heart rate caused the low blood pressure.
do you know what your blood pressure was when you were in the hospital? this is important to find out.
that abscess sounds like a massive infection...
if you do have an underlying heart problem...
the dentist cannot touch that tooth...
till you are fully medicated with antibiotics....
any dental work ( even cleaning teeth) cannot be done if someone has an underlying heart problem....because..
bacteria can get into the bloodstream and infect one's heart..that's called bacterial endocarditis.
so your dentist is being extra cautious.
i want to know if your doctor will send you to a cardiologist for further testing.
you should ask your doctor to refer you to a good cardiologist.
you should have more tests done...
i don't know your age.
please take care..and get to a cardiologist.( this is important)
