How long are crowns supposed to usually stayed glued to your teeth?!


Question:

How long are crowns supposed to usually stayed glued to your teeth?

My brother broke my tooth in half and they said i barely fit the required age for them in to insure that i could have a cap and ( im 130 and its already broken off twice. Is it the dentist? Am i being to rough with it? WHat are some of the things i can do to insure that i stays glued on? HELP!!!

if it doesn't have much to hold on to it could be a problem but they ideally should last for life! your dentist may have tried to put a crown on a tooth that wasn't in the condition required for a crown, it depends on the situation but again, if it was done ideally and correctly, it should last for the rest of your life unless of course your tooth gets knocked out or you get decay underneath the crown:(
