Spacers help?!

Spacers help?

I'm getting them tomorrow and I'm wondering if I can chew gum? Cause that would help me get my focus off the stiffness it'll be causing me..

That sucks, spacers are quite uncomfortable at first, I had them before I got braces. I don't think chewing gum would be a good idea, but just ask your dentist/orthodontist beforehand, they'll be able to tell you. What I did when I had my spacers was to sip milkshakes and other cold drinks that helped numb my whole mouth.
