i just got a retainer today..and its really bugging me. Like i have extra saliva, and i have to keep "slurping" it because it gets stuck on the top. And i can barely talk, like i mean say the s or t parts in words. Does anyone know when all of these "problems" will go away?

Belive it or not you will adapt. I would say you'll master it in about 1 or 2 weeks. What you describe is completely normal. I encourage you to wear it no matter what your teeth are fragile at this time of your treatment and if you want to maintain that beautiful smile you and your orthodontist have worked so hard on accomplishing WEAR THEM AS PRESCRIBED.
