Have the root canel, i would never have teeth pulled until you can't do anymore with them, root canelled teeth can last as long normal teeth so why lose something you haven't got to. The pain will go but you'll always have an unsightly gap.

get the root canal. there not as bad as people make them out to be

root canals are REALLY expensive...just lettin you know

Here is my $0.02 on the subject.

My son knocked his tooth out, had it reinserted, bonded, and had a root canal when he was 3. He had the same tooth pulled because of infection when he was 4. And all this on a BABY TOOTH!

It cost alot for these procedures and when I look back on it they were worthless considering the baby tooth would have fell out anyway.

I would miss the tooth, but why have the chance of it needing more work later?

If you can afford root canal to save your tooth, do it, especially if it is a front tooth. If you are talking about cost concerns, root canal is about $500 per tooth, extractions are about $125 each. I would rather pay to keep my smile, but if the pain is to intense, seek anti-biotics and ALEVE.

If you are worried that you may have future problems with the tooth; have it removed. On the other hand, I have had several teeth pulled and regret having done so. Decisions, decisions...
