How do I remove the metal things on my teeth?!

Question: I have braces. I think they are called brackets....but anyway...I'm talking about the things that are cemented on your teeth that hold the wire in place. How do I remove those without a professional? I can't go to a dentist. I want to do it on my own. Please help.

aw hun. Don't do this. Even a dentist doing a botched job can wreck your teeth for good.

Seriously.

I wouldn't touch this with a thousand feet of floss.

You can cause so much damage to your teeth, the kind that makes you really ugly, unkissable, and takes lots of money to fix.

Your choice. I vote no way.

There is no way to do this w/o totally destroying your enamel. (which is not replaceable, by the way).

You will regret this so much if you try to do it at home, I promise you.

I don't even know how you could possibly get them off ... they are specifically made so you CANNOT remove them without the appropriate dental tools.

PLEASE do not do this to your teeth!!

the wires are no problem removing yourself, but the cemented brackets are another thing. you need a dentist for that.

that is not a good idea. you would ruin your teeth. they have special instruments they use to get them off. please go there instead.

Its not safe for your tooth to try and pry the brackets off. There is a special tool that is used by the orthodontist that grabs the bracket and pops it off. If you did manage to get the bracket off, most likely you would still have the glob of composite/cement that the bracket was held on with still on your teeth. Just leave the braces on till you can get to an orthodontist.
If you are just bound and determined to do it by yourself I guess the best thing I can think of to use would be needle nose plyers, but again you will still have cement on your teeth.

it is probably not a good idea to mess with them sorry i know how you feel i have had braces for three years and am gettin them off in may so i dont recomend it

LEAVE THEM ALONE
