Brushing teeth before general anesthesia?!

Question:

Brushing teeth before general anesthesia?

i am getting my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow at 745 am and the instructions are that i cannot have anything to eat or drink 8 hours before, however is it okay to brush my teeth and swallow maybe a tiny bit of water accidentely or will that tiny bit of water affect me?

Answers:

Go ahead and brush your teeth. Just try to spit instead of drinking water in the process.
