Braces in Philippines?!

Braces in Philippines?

Hi im deciding to go to the Phillipines to get braces , but i have a few concerns .

Firstly Time - i may only be staying for a week but my dad said thats enough time, though he's obviously not a dentist so im asking is 1 week long enough ???

Cost he also said its around 1000 but im quite certain its far cheaper then here.

Where are you from?You're staying only for a week.Well that's enough,to do all the assessment with your teeth(if its indicated for braces,if what braces are appropriate for the case),diagnostic procedures like panoramic radiograph,cephalometric radiograph,photographs,impress... of your teeth,and having the braces.The only problem here is that,you're from another place,because when you have braces,there is a thing called adjustment period which is usually done every month.There are other brackets also,that would require you to come back after 6 months or a year{this one's more expensive}.Because you see,the orthodontist would have to check the progress of your teeth.But,if you're willing to come back then there's definitely no problem. There are some patients,though,were they knew an orthodontist from their place and have continued treatment under his/her care,provided all the diagnostic tools,treatment plan from the previous dentist are submitted to.
