Small white bump on gums?!

Question: It started hurting on my upper gums right above my teeth yesterday. Today I noticed a small white bump there.
It is not a tooth coming in, I have all my adult teeth
I am a non-smoker and don't chew
I also have never been sexually active.
Is this most likely a canker sore?

If it's a canker sore, you'll know soon enough. Usually they look like a crater with a white ring around it, and they hurt like MAD! Usually people who get canker sores have them all the time, but unwise eating (acid or coffee or chocolate) sometimes will set them off. Usually, if it is a canker sore, they will go away after a few days to two weeks. Try rinsing your mouth with Listerine, the brown kind, twice a day. It does relieve the pain and helps to dry to the sore.

Maybe!!! Does it hurt?

sounds like an ulcer....it will go away. very painful!!!!!!!!!! if its not that..you could have gotten something from drinking off something as in water fountain or something as simple as a drink can

try going to the dentist.
it might be an abscess
i've gotten a few.
after some anti-biotic's
it should feel better
