Is it better to get braces or just to get the surgery?!

Did your orthodontist give you the option of braces? It depends on how big it is; braces don't help everybody. For instance, mine knew since I was a little kid that braces would do nothing, even though my jaw wasn't done growing.
If it's proven that if you go without surgery you'll have complications later in life, your insurance will usually cover most of it, if not all of it. I got a rough estimate from my orthodontist, NOT a specialist, and he had told me it would cost me around $25,000. However, mine is a little more complicated than just an underbite.
i would go with bracess.
surgery would take longer to heal.
braces' pain will go away in 2 or 3 days.
and braces are pretty.

braces are worth it. it won't hurt that much. there has been a few times where i want to cry but it doesn't hurt at all. and every little pain from the braces is worth it.

I had an overbite and had to have braces and a total mandibular osteotomy (oral surgery). You need to ask your orthodontist what the best course of action is for you. Good luck
