Knot in gums by tooth?!
Question: I have a knot by my back tooth. Could this be an absessed tooth or just what is it. I will see a dentist in two days. I'm worried that I'll loose my tooth.

It could be an abcess, you should see if you can get in sooner. He'll see you if you tell him you have a lump and you think your tooth is abcessed or he may just call in a prescription for antibiotics. Most dentist's won't work on a tooth until the infection is gone.
You know, I had the same thing a day before I went to the dentist. She told me it was because my gums were stressed out because I grind my teeth at night (I was always told this by various dentists). So finally, I got the mouth guard. Paid $200 for it, used it for a week and never used it again :/
