Question: What the most amount you have needed to pay out of pocket for a session of dental work? Do you trust dentists? Do you feel like sometimes its like being at a mechanics...you know you might be being taken, but dont know what you can do about it. ??

I've been to a lot of chop shop dentist and lost a lot of teeth that way. No I don't trust dentist. I've spent 15,000.00 dollars and they only did permanent teeth for 1/2 of their treatment on me. In other words they told me they would do both uppers and downers full, but they said later that l5 thousand dollars was just for one set of downers.
I hate to go to the dentist and would like to see how others feel about this too.
I just read where one man spent $30,000.00 and has had nothing but crowns and they all came off. This is horrendous dentistry.
I wish I had sued for false advertisement from the dentist himself.

Last time it was for $50 because I had to remove a buildup on my tooth. Otherwise, regular check-up is for free. (Note that I have insurance). They can't really fool you, you usually can see what is wrong with your tooth because you can see it in the mirror -- especially when it hurts.
If you feel that your dentists might have fooled you in any way, simply ask! And if your dentist feels uncomfortable and unclear in explaining his/her reasons for the treatment, then go ahead and look for another dentist.
Otherwise, good dentists are worth trusting for once you get the right one!
I trust a dentist to do what needs to be done as far as fixing your oral ailment...however, I believe that they damage other things on purpose so that you will seek their sevices again.

There are limitations on the art. Just spending $10K doesn't guarantee all your teeth won't fall out tommorow, just as people die in surgery and the surgical procedures are sometimes unsucessful despite the best protcol and competence.
You know, there are no guarantees in life and that also applies to dentists,MD doctors, beauticians, plumbers, carpenters, housewives, working ladies and of course husbands...Yes I know ,I left some culprits out, but they know who they are...The cost of dental procedures, when your simply guessing, is the same as asking someone to tell you just exactly how high up is...The fee is dependent on two major things, (1) the extent and difficulty of doing the procedure and (2) what the DDS thinks of himself professionally and personally....Like a Cadillac or Rolls Royce...the price carries a huge amount of "name" expense. There are doctors in all fields who do exactly the same level of quality work but charge varying ranges of fees. Some are absolutely positive you are lucky to have them let you in their office and for that privilege you get to pay them maybe two, three or five times what you would pay anyone else for the same service.....I know you have heard the term.."Second Opinion", well that goes for services and fees alike.....If your state has one, go on the web site that tells how many complaints had been filed against any particular dentist....Other than that, shop around. I read your past question about your g/f that misses you and forgot you for 6 months, she may have or have had a controling boy friend that wouldnt let her have time, or even maybe communicate with others...she would be embarassed to tell you. Now she may have learned lesons...I would reconsider... forgiveness is a great thing
dentists vary, and so does insurance, some covers most all and some get inflated prices and you end up paying more than if you didnt have insurance.

cleaning teeth even can be exploded up into the thousands by certain dentists that promise one thing but give another.
when unsure do not commit get a second opinion, and usually family practice in the country not city dds is best

They use the idea, as an excuse for what they are really feeling. For some it is loneliness and that bitterly dependent feeling fill their hearts. Unfortunately in our world, many settle for this.
People don't have to agree on the value and place of love for it to exist. Some ideas about love are wrong. Some people can search all of their lives for love, and never find it. Others can live a lie thinking that they have found it when they have not.
While others find Jesus love, then it is easier to find another that loves God too, and share true love with each other. While some never come to God, yet still find true love in another person.
Love is what it is because of the different ways we feel love exist. In relationship, love can have both a light side caring and a dark side taking.
When you give your heart to a person, thinking that they would never hurt you, you are married and fulfilled or you are left with an empty feeling, and in a way it does kill a part of you. The side of love with the power to hurt makes us able to be hurt. These people use it as an anchor to protect themselves from emotions. Some people will even use it as an excuse to take their own life, trying to escape their pain. For the people who do not understand true love, they get hurt and become weak.
This is the power of love, and yet many still take it lightly. Love has a serious power, which is too often taken for granted. Love can be good or bad, if you do not respect love for what it is to others. Love can take many different forms and can even be deceptive.
One thing about love is for sure; once you find it, you never want to lose it.
Love fills our thoughts, fills our dreams, and can control our actions. No one can tell you what love is to you, because you have to find it for yourself, and define it through your own experiences.
