Will my mouth expander work?
Hi i am 16 years old and I am getting a mouth expander in june. I've heard that it wont work on a girl if you are over the age of 14.. is this true? I hope not because i desperately need it. Also, my jaw always "clicks" and it causes me a lot of pain. Can this be caused by me having a small mouth? How do i make it go away!?

my daughter was 14 when she had a mouth expander put in and it hurt at first but its great now she is nearly 16 now and finishes treatment in 4 months time.my other daughters jaw clicked alot and the dentist made her a tooth cover like a mouth guard to help her relax her jaw at night cos he said she was tensing it all the time in her sleep and didn't know.again this worked and she was 16 when she got it.he said she could have used a sports mouth shield if she wanted to and just wear it in bed.if you get one get the one you put in hot water to shape to your jaw shape.
