My 6 year old is growing a molar?
my six year old son still hasnt lost any of his back molar teeth, but he seems to be growing another one and it's extremely painful, is it normal be be growing an extra molar tooth now. is this going to be a baby tooth too, or is this an adult tooth?
Answers:
6 year molars come in (one in each "quadrant" of the mouth: upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left) between 5-7 years of age. These molars do NOT replace a baby tooth; they come in behind the last baby tooth.
