Yes, it is true,... but listen, you can stop this from happening now. Go to the emergency room and ask for antibiotics for a tooth infection and let them know you are in serious pain. I think it's around $20.00-$60.00 depending on what they prescribe. Then call ur dentist asap, while you are on the antibiotics and ask for an emergency extraction. If you don't want to extract the tooth, you can apply for a special credit account that is widely accepted at most dental offices... called Care Credit. www.carecredit.com. You must get this resolved. I feel for you. I've been dealing with teeth issues the last year. 3 abcess tooth infections and had 3 root canals. In the mean time, and while you are on antibiotics... take garlic pills, echinacea, golden seal and probiotics. Your local pharmacy should have all of that. Rinse with luke warm salt water (helps draw out infection) 1 tablespoon of salt to 1 cup of luke warm water... and drink lots of water. This will help you alot.

yes this is the hard core truth, infection is nothing to play with!

yes

Yup

I have not heard that. I know it can cause you problems if you keep swallowing the infections. I would like to know this answer!

It is true you could die from a decayed tooth that you refuse to get treatment for. Your jaw can become infected and eventually ~may~ lead to septicemia. Pretty rare though, you'd be in hospital with significant pain and fever long before this.

Yes...if you have an absess or serious tooth infection.

Yes it's true but several teeth would have to be bad....

if your infection is goin from your teeth UP to your heart i'd say you have a bigger problem than the ones in your teeth.

yes, this is very true. An abscessed tooth needs immediate attention. I know a lady who now has brain damage because she did not get her abscessed tooth treated in time.

yes it is very true. i had an abcessed tooth and my dentist warned me about this..... if you don't take care of your teeth.. it will eventually catch up to you and make you very sick and could possibly kill you. my dentist told me that the plaque on your teeth can go thru your blood stream, and can build up and give you a heart attack, so it is very important that you take care of your teeth.... =)

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

yes...i knew a guy that died when bacteria got to his heart from accidentally gulping a mouth full of swampy water.

Possibly, but I guarantee you this. When a tooth gets infected, or abscessed, your whole face swells up like a ballon and you are in excruciating pain. Even if you were stranded on a deserted Island, you would figure out a way to rip that tooth out of your head !!! Even still, you probably NEED antibiotics as well. You would be pretty deathly ill for a while I would imagine.

Yes you can. It can go into the bone and this is BAD infection. Most people can catch this early enough but if not..there is not much that can be done. .

yes.. infections can travel from different areas of your body via the blood stream and kill you...
