I was scared to get braces but I am so glad that I did. Your teeth will hurt very bad for the first couple of weeks but soon you will not even notice that they are on your teeth. I wore mine for two years, which went by very fast, and now I have beautiful, straight teeth! Remember when you get your bands replaced/tightened your teeth will hurt for a few days. It helps to take some Motrin beforehand to control pain. After awhile, I didn't have to take anything because it seemed my teeth just didn't hurt anymore.
Don't be worried. Just do it. You don't want to be an adult and have crooked teeth. Just make sure you get braces if you need them!
