Question: do braces also fix the teeth's shape? I have weird shaped front teeth and i have braces. I've had them for about a year now, and i can see that the shape isn't as bad as it used to be

Sometimes, it DOES change the teeth shape but that is only because of root resportion at the apeces of the tooth. this means that sometimes the braces that move the teeth, may be too traumatic for the root to sustain and the root shrinks along with it. But this will not change the shape and style of the tooth. If you wanted to do that you could tell your general dentist and he could do what are called bondings where you prefer to change the shape of your teeth. This is like fillings but a little bit different, basically just for cosmetic reasons, but they still charge you as a filling.
