Do you think i need a Night Guard for my teeth?!

Question: i think i do, but i want your opinion because it might just be me.

well, i know i grind my teeth at night and im afraid
that they are going to get worn down badly,
i also bite my cheek at night without knowing it
and wake up with my cheek very sore and a chunk
taken out of it.
and i think something is wrong with my jaw
because sometimes when i eat and i bite down
i bite down there is a "crack" noise in my jaw
that doesnt seem normal.
do you think that is the cause for that noise?

also, do you think a Night Guard is necessary?

PLEASE and THANK YOU!

I use a night gaurd. And It's not uncomfortable at all. Not only that, but no one will see it, they're small and clear.
They help alot with grinding at night.
When I was about 11, I ground my teeth really very badly, and they were worn down, I had a veneer fall off due to grinding, and 3 years on, wearing a night gaurd has helped extremely. I would reccomend seeing your dentist and asking what he suggests!

i would say that you should try it and if it helps then keep on using it ..but if it makes it worse then dont use it
i think you should give it a try

yeah. tell your dentist and he/she will take an impression of your mouth and get a guard made for you. i wear one at night cos my grinding is terrible! also, most people grind due to slight depression or anxiety so it might be worhwhile visiting your doctor and let them know whats hapeneing

good luck

I would definitely get that checked by a dentist. My friend had the same problem and she had to get one.

i'd recommend talking talking to your Doctor/dentist because that cracking noise shouldn't be happening.

i grind my teeth very badly so yes i would get one asap

I think the best thing to do is ask the dentist. They can give you better advice than anyone else on here.

it is not necessary? There is some difficiency ? it's easy to contact dentist. TAHE PROBLEM WILL ONCE FOR ALL BE CURED.
