a pice of my tooth (in the back) came off a small chunk and i dont know what to do. if i go to the dentist what will happen. I probobly have cavities.

Yes, have the dentist patch that area of your tooth...you might have exposed dentin, which is even more vulnerable to decay. Cavities should be arrested before they spread and cause more problems. A little bit of discomfort now is well worth not having major problems in the future.
Also, be sure you are getting enough calcium in your diet.
