Help help help help!!?!

Question: i have this one molar tooth on the top of my mouth that is loose (or at least i thought it was...) just a few minutes ago i was about to brush my teeth when i saw that it was broken. it'd kinda reddish in the middle and the left side of the tooth doesn't wiggle but the right side wiggles and i can totally tell that it is broken in half. Why is this? How could this have happened? My next dental appointment is on June 26. I told my mom about it and she told me not to worry and everything would be ok and that she should call the dentist next week for an early appointment to see what's up with this tooth. I'm really worried about it...will it hurt when he fixes it? My mom said they'd probably either build up on it or use some glue to make it stick. Please tell me what will happen! Will it hurt? Should I tell my mom that I'd like to see the dentist next week so he can tell me what'll have to be done? Oh and I think it may be a baby but maybe an adult...i'm scared! Any dentists out there?

No, it won't hurt for your dentist to repair it. Don't worry, but definitely get in to see the dentist as soon as possible.
