Are whitening strips, kits etc safe for use on children and young adults [teens?!
Question: Over the counter whitening kits and those available from beauty therapists should be avoided by adults and children alike, as they tend to contain unpleasant chemicals that cause sensitivity and burning of the gums. Most dentists provide a whitening service now, that will have been safety approved. I think in most cases dentists like you to be at least 16 years old before you whiten....they don't advise it in children.
