I'm having a tooth removed from bottom jaw will my wisdom tooth come through?!

Question:

I'm having a tooth removed from bottom jaw will my wisdom tooth come through?

i had the bad tooth xrayed and it showed my wisdom tooth still hiding. the dentist said it hadn't come through because there was not enough room. will my teeth move around to allow it to come through. also having this tooth removed will make me uneven do your teeth move around to compensate for missing ones. cheers for your help

Answers:

It depends on which tooth you had removed. If it was the last molar in your jaw, then its removal will give the wisdom tooth the space it needs to come through. BUT.. If you had a first molar or bicuspid tooth removed, your teeth might shift a bit and the tooth above it in the top jaw may start getting a little long! ...but it won't necessarily make the space the wisdom teeth needs to come through properly.
Seems like you have an informative dentist. Ask him and if you are not satisfied with his answer, get another opinion.
Goodluck.
