Herbst + braces?!
Question: Hey, I just got some spacers two days ago. n 4 weeks I am getting a Herbst and 6 braces on the top row of my teeth. I was wondering if the braces and Herbst together will hurt a good amount? And I have heard some part of the Herbst sticks out? :/ And then a year later I need a full mouth of braces? Will these appliances hurt alot, and look bad? and can you close your mouth correctly? What can you eat? Thanks <3

my daughter wore a herbst for about 6 months before she got her braces and I don't think it hurt much at all, she had to be careful when yawning though because if you open your mouth too wide it could slip apart-easy to get back together though. She could close her mouth ok, I don't think it affected her appearance too much, if you didn't know she had one, you couldn't tell
It doesn't really hurt much at all, only for like the first day or so...
