braces are no big deal
they only hurt for the first 3 days
so just eat soft foods
but just remember when you get them taken off..you will have perfect teeth!
and don't forget to floss! even if it is annoying because it takes so long..it is very important to floss

and remember braces are no big deal.just about everybody has had them!

Dont worry. I have just had my braces removed and it doesnt hurt at all!!!!. All that they do is use a sticky thing and put it on your teeth... you dont feel it or taste it. Then they put the little metal things on the sticky. After that is on everytooth they will pop a wire around all of them. just like a little click. It will feel different but just for the first three days. Just a warning the second day hurts a little ( your teeth are sore and tender) but as long as you eat soft food and dont touch them a lot you good!!!! And remember after the sencond day it DOESNT HURT A BIT

There painful after you get them put on(but only for a week) and they give you sores in your mouth for a while until your mouth gets tough.. and some good things are.. uhh that your teeth will be straight after there gone... and you might want to check your teeth for any stray food after you eat

Good Luck!!!

It doesnt hurt getting them on it hurts for about a week after.. eat soft foods and take plenty of tylenol.... make sure and brush your teeth really really good and dont break anything if you do it makes the process longer =)

good luck

Yes i have they are rather expensive to buy but it didnt solve my teeth other wise they are fine,

you will _not die................only fly some time
trust yourself .ok

the good part is you get to pick "pretty" colors and have the dentist do little patterns on them. Bad part is getting them tightened! its painful! it'll hurt for about three days or so. If you're getting a band (which is the metal cirular thing they put on the back of your last molar) you have to bite down on it! and it hurts like ****! I'm telling you the truth! I've had braces for six years! I got them off in august of last year, so I have experience!

When they are putting the braces in, you won't feel a thing. After they are in they will be tight and painful on your teeth, you won't be able to bite down hard ('coz it will hurt) and you won't be able to eat certain foods for the first week or two. You could take paracetamol for the pain.

You won't be able to eat chewing gum or toffee... And YOU CAN'T FLOSS. I've tried it loads of times and the brace itself gets in the way and gets caught in the wire.

You'll be fine.
Just remember to brush your teeth two/three times a day.

I got braces about a month ago, and I was flipping out.
I was searching yahoo answers quite late seeing what people said about braces. A lot of people said that they really hurt, and thats not really true, they feel weird in your mouth the first hour you get them. If you have an overbite, you can't really clench your teeth. Then they start to ache a little. Just remember to take a tylonel before and after you get them on. The braces do hurt a little when you try to bite down on food. lol, at lunch that day, i took a bite of a chicken nugget and I was like "Ounch..." So try to bring some soup, jello, yogurt, pudding, ect. It wasn't really the braces that bothered me the most, it was probably the archwire. I don't know if you're going to get one, but the orthodinist didn't even tell me before hand so it was an unpleasant surprise. If you're getting an archwire, just be glad it's not a palate expander.

The archwire feels like a paper clip that is undone and it goes from your top molar to your other top molar. I kinda aches where it's connected to your molars sometimes. The first days I despised it! It felt so strange and food would get caught above it. Well at least you get used to it, I promise. :)
So that's definently a bad part.

The worst worst part is getting them on. Ok, its not that bad, but still. The worst part about getting them on is the separators. They pull your lips apart. And the spit suctioner thing is annoying too! It feels werid having all those things in your mouth at once...oh last thing, the polisher thiing doesn't taste pleasant...

Just remember that the good things are the colors!! (yay I like colors!! :P) and definently the results!! Just remember, if it was so bad, 7 year olds wouldn't be getting them. And no body would be getting them if they were that bad! Wish you luck :P
