Stains from braces?!
Question: I'm getting my braces off soon
and im really scared that i will get stains on my teeth
I know that you can get your teeth whitened at the dentist but my mom doesn;t want to pay money for that
i also heard about bleaching your teeth or using baking soda to whiten your teeth but isnt that bad to use?
is there other ways to whiten your teeth?
and do whitening strips work?

Before you start getting too excited...get your braces off and see how your teeth actually look. If you do have some stains, ask your orthodontist the best way to take care of them. It's not recommended to bleach teeth right after your braces come off because there may be bits and pieces of cement still on your teeth, and you'd end up with speckled teeth, since the cement wouldn't bleach but does eventually come off...
After about 6 months or so, if you still want to bleach, the whitening strips do work.
Well the only way to not get stains is to brush brush brush! Mouthwash, floss, and brush some more. It may be tireding but its the only way to keep your teeth white. If you are scared to use actually baking soda they make baking soda toothpaste. it has a salty taste to it though. White strips work but you have to listen to the directions on the back of the box!

You won't have stains on your teeth as long as you brush your teeth regularly and well! I listened to my orthodontist and always brushed, because I had the same fear. I don't have any stains left from braces now. If you haven't been brushing well and there are stains, you might want to try some Crest Whitening Strips or some whitening toothpaste as well.
uh oh! lol jk thats the same thing i thought b4 i got my braces off! i just started cleaning them like 3 times a day and stoped drinking sodas for about 2 weeks! (its not as hard as it sounds) and when i got my braces off, my teeth were actually really white!! i didnt even need a whitening! but im going in for 1 ne ways because i want my teeth to be whiter than whit!!
