Amalgam / Composite Fillings allowed by insurance - is bonding the same?!

Question: I need to have my front tooth bonded as it chipped and now looks ugly. My insurance company's dental coverage permits "Amalgam / Composite Fillings", Can a dentist or someone in the profession tell me if bonding falls within this category?

'Bonding' is the common lay term for a composite filling, so you should be ok.
