I had two teeth removed because I had braces and needed room to pull my teeth back.

What the dentists does is, he'll give you shots in the gums (you don't feel a thing) that will numb you pretty well. it'll make you feel like your lips just got HUGE! You can't even feel them touching your teeth, so you won't feel them pulling it out either. Don't be afraid, it's not so bad, and quick.

I had my upper left molar extracted a year ago and never had any pain at all. I still have the full bottle of pain killers, never used one. most people do experience some pain, sort of a dull ache after the general anestasia wears off. just take what the dentsist gives you and you should be fine :)
best of luck

Today, your gum will be numbed before the local is given. You should not be uncomfortable. I wish you the best.

When I go to the dentist and he tells me he is going to pull a tooth of mine, I always tell him to "bomb me". He knows to put at least 3 shots of novacaine in my gums to prevent pain. I have a very low thresh hold for pain and he knows this. The actual tooth pulling itself shouldn't hurt, at the most you may feel a little pressure. Part of your face and mouth will remain numb for awhile, but this is most common. When the feeling comes back, you may feel a twinge of pain or a achy sensation which is all normal. Follow the directions carefully that your dentist will give you and you should do fine.

I have had many of my teeth taken out. Good luck to you and I hope I was a bit helpful. Have a nice weekend.

if its numbed right it wont hurt at all...it feels just like someones tugging gently on your teeth...grab your front tooth and wiggle it back and forth a little, it feels just like that
