It's mostly genetic. My sons have cute, chiclet shaped teeth, while my daughter's teeth are more sharp like mine, especially the canines.
Some people grind their teeth down with poor eating habits (or they just do -- also genetic probably) so their teeth are flat topped. I knew a guy whose teeth were ground so much that you could see the layers of enamel and pulp.

everyone has different shaped teeth, just like people have different fingerprints. however, the "sharp" looking teeth could also be from decay and from chipped teeth. The food/ bad dental hygiene/ chips in teeth, could give it that look like it goes to a point.
LOL in some countries some make their teeth like that. Thats what makes their women 'attractive' (notice i put them in quotes). I watched it on Taboo, on the Discovery Channel.
Everyone has some "sharper teeth". Some grind their teeth in their sleep and wear teeth down. Others by heredity have very square teeth, others rounded.
Male are more square them women. And Everyone is diff.
