Hey I'm getting braces too! I'd get either your favorite colors or school colors (if you're preppy)
hot pink always looks cute or ..or yellow and orange look cute together toooooo
the only colors i wouldn't get are yellow or clear cause they don't look to pretty
go for silver- then they will go will every thing and it is the least noticeable colour but if you don't mind about them standing out go for light blue that looks cool whatever you do don't go for a blue and orange combo.
I have braces, and you have to pick common colours. Not all colours will be at your ortho's clinic.
Currently, I have orange.

i just got braces 2 months ago but i don't really want people to really notice that i had them so i got some that are white because they blend in with my teeth i really don't like the colors ones because i work talking to a lot of people and i dont realy think it will look nice that they put more attension to my braces than my face but the only bad thing about having white colors is that you have to be realy carefull on the things you eat because they get stain realy easy they might be white one day and if you eat something that has alot of food coloring they will turn yellow or pink the next day depending with the coloring of the food so i guess if you dont want to deal with all those probles you go with the colors one
GOLD have a grill , just kidding any color that you want to be somthing that your fav color or somthing that cool like blue lol
