As far as price, they are $5,000 on average
Although there is some more work that goes into them
Like you might need to get spacers to prepare you along with an expander and after your braces, you're going to need a retainer, which might be an extra $600-$1,000

Braces can hurt, it all kind of depends on your personal pain tolerance.
They are expensive. Mine ended up costing $4,000.
Your orthodontist will have a selection of colors for you to choose from when and if the time comes.
If you really do want them, then ask your dentist if they can put you in touch with a good ortho and of course talk to your parents about it too.
