your gingivitis may have progressed to whats called periodontitis. anything with itis on the end means inflammation, so gingivitis is inflammation of the gingivae (the medical term for gums). if neglected gingivitis progresses to periodontitis (inflammation of the periodontium, which is the bone and other tissues that surround the tooth and hold it in place).

This normally means that you will have little pockets around your teeth where food and bacteria gather and calculus (hardened plaque) can form. This is impossible to completely remove by brushing or flossing alone.

The dentist will normally measure your pocketing with a probe and may take x-rays to assess the bone health around your teeth and may refer you to a hygienist who will professionally clean your teeth for you under the gum and remove all that plaque and calculus. This will need to be done on a regular basis, maybe 6 monthly depending on your unique situation.

until you see your dentist keep using the corsodyl and keep brushing and flossing.

try apple cider vinegar

Definitely, there is.

Healthy gums and teeth are essential to living a healthy life, and in addition to proper cleaning, a well-balanced nutritional program including minerals, trace elements, vitamins, anti-oxidants, and multiple kinds of fiber and protein, is the foundation for healthy gums.

I have found a family of nutritional products that I know gives me the best chance for longevity and health. Email me if you would like particulars.

Pretty pink gums for me.

OK...there are a couple of issues that must be seriously considered, especially in light of the fact you state that you have been dealing with the situation for as long as (4) years...(1)...If you are a person who doesn't eat a balanced diet on a regular basis you may have put your gum tissue in a state of Mal-nutrition and after four years I'm surprised that your definition of the condition of your gums isn't far worse than you have described it....(2)..I have to cover this next issue because it's a known dental fact of life. If you are now, or have been, an excessive user of recreational drugs, how you describe your gum problems is a classic symptom of drug use...(3) and of course you could be the victim of simple bad DNA, "family Genes"...Such gum problems as well as other more widely known health issues are and can be passed on through family DNA...doesn't mean you have to let nature takes it's course, it just means that you have to, as they say, go the extra mile to stave off those bad genes. Regardless of where the answer lies you need to immediately get on a really good daily multi-vitamin that is high in vitamins <C<D<E<A<B< and Zinc>...And of course see a Periodontist, ASAP. Good luck and I wish you well.

you probably have periodontal disease which is something get when you dont take care of gingivitis. you really need to see a dentist. nothing can cure it-a dentist will help you get under control-if left untreated you risk having your teeth fall out
