Trust me they don't hurt!. When i was in 3rd grade I got four fillings and it never hurt!. It seems like getting fillings hurt but you will be suprised it doesn't hurt a bit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok that is odd!. i just got a cavity!. ok it SO doesnt hurt because first they put numing stuff on ur gum then they put a shot in ur mouth were u will feel some presher then they will dry out ur mouth!. then they do it!. it doesnt hurt at all!. but u shouldnt get so scard!. i did, and there was nothing to worrie about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the only thing that scared me when i was getting a filling was the shot(of course once you get the shot you wont feel a thing)i told my dentist i was scared of shots!. he did good cause the shot didnt hurt that much!. i say just let him know how you feel so maybe he can be alittle gentle, and not just jap the needle in your mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
pain is a relative thing!. what i think is uncomfortable you may not!. it really depends on a person's tolerance!. that said, dental work is tricky in that it may depend on how deep a cavity goes, if it's an abcess and you need a root canal getting numb is a little more challenging depending on how long there's been an infection!. the best thing you can do for yourself is to not get worked up over it now!. if you make it a big deal it will be a big deal - you know what i mean!? if you're really anxious you could ask for nitrous oxide (laughing gas)!. it will make you not care as much about what's going on!. if you're pregnant tho' don't have nitrous!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have one of my molars filled, here's what they do in order to fill your tooth/teeth:
1!. They give you a shot in your gum that you can't feel so that you won't feel them filling your tooth!.
2!. They wait a couple minutes for the shot to kick in!.
3!. They fill your tooth with the filling!.
4!. They wait like 2 minutes for the filling to dry with an ultra violet light!.
5!. You're done and you didn't feel a thing!

it all depnds on how big the cavity is bcuz sometimes !.!.!.again depending on size of the cavity teh shot with teh numbing stuff can hurt a lil' usually for a veerry short time bcuz it gets numb super quick and other times u don't even feel a thing thats painful!. Sometimes u can smell the stuff tehy r using it smells kinda like metal or burned!.!.i dunno how to explain it!. It depnds on what they use and how big it is but generally it dosn't hurt!. There are silver/ gary fillings and white ones as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
