Why are my teeth discolored?!

Question: Why are my teeth discolored!?
I'm 21 years old and my teeth are discolored!.

I don't smoke, I don't drink coffee, I don't drink tea, I don't drink alcohol, in fact I have pretty much zero vices!.

Yet since I was a child my teeth have been discolored!. The dentist said some people's teeth are just that way because of a thick mineral structure!. Is that true!?

What should I use to whiten them!? Do crest strips work!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There are lots of reasons why your teeth could be discolored!. If your mother took Tetracycline while she was pregnant with you, would could have what is called tetracycline stain!. It looks like bands of color (usually brownish) starting at your gums and going half way down the tooth!. A lot of people have what's called hypo or hyper calcification of their enamel!. In other words, when their permanent teeth were forming when they were kids, they either got too much fluoride or too little fluoride!. Also, if you had high fevers or nutritional deficiencies as a child it can cause your enamel to form differently!. If it looks like you have some bright white spots or lines all over your teeth then this may be the case!.
To solve this problem you would most likely need to see a dentist as your staining is not caused by and outside source (like coffee, tea, smoking!.!.!.)!. That is what the Crest white strips work to correct!. Your staining is what we call intrinsic, or discoloration caused from inside your tooth or enamel!. To correct this you would want to get a dentist's personal opinion on if "in- office whitening" would work for you!. (The lasers or high potency gel)!. You may have to get veeners placed over your front 6 top teeth to solve the problem!. They are costly, but effective and bring about a dramatic change!. They are like thin egg shells covering over the fronts of your teeth, not like a crown that goes all the way around a tooth!. Best solution is to go see a dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would try Crest strips first!.!.they have worked for me and they're a lot cheaper than going to the dentist!. The only thing is they make my teeth super sensitive so I have to use them every other day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
